The North Ward Center, nestled in the heart of Newark's North Ward, has served as anchor to the surrounding neighborhood and Essex County, since we opened our doors in 1970.

Dedicated to empowering the family, the Center trains individuals for today's workforce, provides children with a model Abbott pre-school program, offers our aging residents a state-of-the-art medical day care environment, has a premier Charter school, and continues to offer a myriad of social service programs that help improve the quality of life for our constituents.

Our five institutions, each unique in their delivery of service, have one common bond to provide a nurturing and welcoming environment where learning and caring are our first priority.

For over 35 years we have been committed to helping our neighbors. As the community's needs change so will the Center, so that quality service is always delivered to meet today's needs.
